My tutoring services are dedicated to enhancing children's reading skills, ensuring they develop a strong foundation for academic success. With personalized attention and engaging methods, we make reading enjoyable and accessible for every child.
My lessons are designed to be both diagnostic and prescriptive making sure each one is perfectly tailored to meet your child's unique reading skills and needs!
What can you do to help your child with reading skills and the anxiety that often accompanies when they compare their reading skills to their classmates?
Ask your child's teacher! Make sure their reading instruction consists of these five foundational attributes of instruction: phonics, sight words, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension.
Also, make sure that your child experiences reading success at home! Have them read the same book to you more than one time! You will notice their fluency improve.
I have a 7 year old daughter that has struggled with reading from the beginning. We did tutoring after school, they put her in a special reading class but we never saw a lot of progress. She never got that "Meets Expectations," mark on her tests. At the end of this summer we decided to try Cindy. After just a month she was showing progress with her reading. The school has noticed, too. Nova says Cindy explains things in a way reading is not so confusing to her. Unlike before, she actually WANTS to go to tutoring. She always ends her session with a hug and a smile. We were originally just going to use Cindy for a month until we found a tutor in the after school program but we have no intention of changing now.
